Resources/Getting A Static IP

How do I get a static IP?

First things first, static IPv4 addresses are scarce, and there's no free way to get one unless for promotional temporary or limited use.

Setting up a VPS (virtual private server) yourself is the most budget solution, if you can bear some backend engineering and maintenance work. The biggest providers you can use are AWS/GCP. With AWS, it costs about $7 to setup a minimal VPS and attach a static ip. Then you will have to take some time to migrate your application to run on the VPS or make the VPS into a proxy server and then configure your application to route traffic via the proxy server.

Services like Quotaguard and Fixie lets you skip the infrastructural work of setting up a VPS and attaching ipv4 address yourself. Their plans start from about $19. But you still have to configure your application by adding environment variables, sometimes adding packages depending on your framework (e.g. node.js), and modifying all http calls to use proxy (e.g. python). But even then, the static ip address you get is shared (unless you pay for advanced plan) and the usage is somewhat limited.

Static IP Relay removes the entire engineering hassle. We believe that a paid solution should not only solve the problem but also save your time and effort in understanding the solution. We don't want you having to spend time on extra configs and end up wasting energy figuring out what a reverse proxy is. Our solution is simple - you give us the API or Database hostname you need access to, and we give you a relay hostname you can swap with. Then the request to the relay hostname will reach the destination via the a dedicated static ip. We setup the VPS and proxy behind the scene for you. If for any reason it doesn't work or if you need more advanced solutions, we also provide the http proxy and SOCKS5. In case you get stuck in any way - contact support and we will resolve the issue together.

Need a dedicated static IP without setting up the infrastructure yourself?

Static IP Relay gives you the simplest path: swap in a relay hostname, use a dedicated static IP, and skip the VPS and proxy setup work.
